Almost 130,000
children will be at Christmas this
year, according to a homeless
charity.
Shelter said kids will be without
a home on Christmas Day, and of those will be
in London.
The charity has launched a campaign
to try raise awareness of the
problem, and encourage the government
to act.
Shelter is also unhappy that more
than one million children are
living in housing that is , temporary or far
too crowded.
As part of the campaign the charity
is going around the country to
highlight homeless kids there
are.
On Friday Shelter lit 83,962 candles
in London's .
The director of Shelter, Adam
Sampson, said: "It's shocking
that, in the 21st century, there
are thousands of children in Britain
waking up homeless on Christmas
Day.
"Living in temporary accommodation
robs children of security, health
and a fair in life."
